'Sons of Anarchy': Kurt Sutter on Jax becoming king in Season 5
Season 5 was a very important time in the lore of "Sons of Anarchy." Jax (Charlie Hunnam) took control of SAMCRO from Clay (Ron Perlman), sitting at the head of the table for the first time. In a new clip from the Season 5 Blu-ray collection, which is in stores Tuesday (August 27), creator Kurt Sutter discusses Jax's rise to king and the affect it will have on him going into Seasons 6 and 7, as they move toward the end of the show.
Sutter says the season is important to the story and poses questions Jax will have to answer. "Is he capable of being a king?" "Is he emotionally-wired to be that guy?" The most important question, of course, is whether or not he has to become Clay in order to properly lead the club.
"Sons of Anarchy" Season 6 premieres September 10 on FX.
