'Under the Dome' extended preview highlights changes from the book
Check out this extended preview for CBS' new summer drama "Under the Dome," based on the novel by Stephen King. In this sneak peek, more is shown of the townspeople reacting to the dome, which highlights a couple changes from the book that they've previously been hinting at.
First off, it appears as though the dome is soundproof -- or at least, people on the outside can't hear the people trapped inside. That's definitely a change and provides an interesting wrinkle in communicating with the outside world.
Secondly, Linda Everett is on the inside of the dome, but her husband Rusty is outside. In the book, they're both under the dome. He's also gone from being a physician's assistant to a fireman. We wonder who will be the go-to doctor under the dome?
"Under the Dome" premieres Monday, June 24 on CBS.
