Patton Oswalt visits 'Parks and Rec,' pitches insane 'Star Wars' sequel plot
It's become abundantly clear that the Internet loves Patton Oswalt this week.
First, the comedian lay bare his sincere side in a stirring Facebook post on Monday (April 15) following the tragedy at the Boston Marathon, and now an outtake from his guest appearance on NBC's "Parks and Recreation" on Thursday has us in stitches.
In his appearance, Oswalt plays a typically zany Pawnee citizen intent on delaying a city council vote with an insane filibuster. In the nearly nine-minute clip, he improvises a pitch for "Star Wars: Episode VII" that is so epically nerdy, it manages to link together the franchise with both "The Avengers" and "X-Men."
To say anymore would rob you the experience of witnessing the hysterical lunacy firsthand. Be sure to watch Oswalt in action above.
