Watch the first three seasons of "Arrested Development" on Netflix. Today we're covering the Season 2 episode, "Hand to God," which premiered March 6, 2005.
"Hand to God" was actually the second part of a two-parter, which began with "Out on a Limb."
Michael Bluth tells his son that his former flame Maggie Lizer is eight and a half months pregnant -- and he thinks the child may be his. Maggie tells Michael that the father of the child is actually a sperm donor. Buster faces the aftermath of losing his hand, and gets a hook in its place. Lucille thought it was her fault, for praying that Buster not go to war, but it was actually on Gob, who released the bloodthirsty seal in the first place. He decides to use cats as bait to catch the seal, while Michael uses George Michael to scope out the situation with Lizer. Turned out, she was hired as a surrogate for the gay cop couple we met in the earlier episode, but she was faking the pregnancy.
Notable guest stars: Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Maggie Lizer, Henry Winkler as Barry Zuckerkorn.
Memorable line: "Yes, he's lost his left hand, so he's going to be all right." -- The Literal Doctor
Milestones: Well, Buster gets his hand bitten off by a seal,
Recurring jokes worth remembering: When Michael mentions Maggie Lizer, George Michael replies, "Her?" using his father's Ann-joke against him.The Literal Doctor returns.
Most sexual tension: Michael sees a very pregnant Maggie Lizer almost nine months after their last tryst and finds himself very attracted to her larger breasts, while Lindsay manages to pleasure herself very effectively.
Next on "Arrested Development": "On the next Arrested Development, Buster and GOB find themselves closer than ever." With Buster's hook stuck in Gob's... well. You can imagine. Meanwhile... Maggie gets pregnant. For real.
