'Mad Men' Season 6 trailer promises 'the affair of the year'

A new "Mad Men" teaser trailer has arrived. Though it doesn't feature any imagery that hasn't already been released, it does promise that fans are "invited to the affair of the year" in Season 6.

Is the "affair" comment a nod to the Don Draper cliffhanger in the finale of Season 5? Maybe, as the Draper brood doesn't look especially happy in the Ken Burns pictures used for the new teaser. Megan Draper might be in over her head with her husband after opting to leave Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce to pursue her career as an actress.

"Mad Men" returns to AMC at 9 p.m. on April 7 with a special two-hour season premiere. It will move to its usual 10 p.m. time slot the following week. Creator Matt Weiner wrote the premiere, and executive producer Scott Hornbacher directed it.

"To be able to continue exploring the stories of these characters for a sixth season is an amazing opportunity," Weiner says. "We love mining this world and look forward to bringing the audience stories that we hope will continue to both surprise and entertain them."
