'Drop Dead Diva' Season 5 back on: Lifetime reverses cancellation decision

Good news for fans of Lifetime's underrated comedy "Drop Dead Diva" -- though the network canceled it earlier this year, they have changed their minds and reversed the decision. "Drop Dead Diva" will return for Season 5.

While the studio and the network were initially unable to negotiate cost cutting for the fifth season, they have finally reached an agreement.

The series follows an aspiring model, Deb, who dies and is reincarnated as plus-size lawyer Jane Bingum (Brooke Elliott). The Season 4 finale, which also hit a ratings high with 2.76 million viewers, ended on a major cliffhanger -- Jane's original soul came back to life in her husband Owen's (Lex Medlin) body.
