'Walking Dead' star Lauren Cohan books a gig on 'Law & Order: SVU'
Every time a star of AMC's "The Walking Dead" books another acting gig, fans inevitably fear for their character's safety, but Lauren Cohan's guest role on "Law & Order: SVU" doesn't necessarily spell doom for Maggie Greene. The Hollywood Reporter has the details on Cohan's central role in an upcoming "SVU" episode inspired by the "legitimate rape" controversy involving Republican Senate nominee Todd Akin. Cohan will play a sports reporter who accuses a cameraman of rape and later learns she's pregnant.
The episode is expected to air in late March on NBC, which would be shortly before "The Walking Dead" wraps Season 3 on March 31.
Cohan's previous TV guest work includes recurring roles on "Chuck," "Supernatural" and "The Vampire Diaries."
