TV Ratings: '30 Rock' series finale up, 'Big Bang Theory' bests 'American Idol' in first head-to-head meeting
Fast National ratings for Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013The "30 Rock" series finale saw an increase of about a million viewers over last week's episode, sending it out on a relative high note in terms of ratings. Meanwhile, in the first head-to-head meeting of "American Idol" and "The Big Bang Theory" where "TBBT wasn't a rerun, "Big Bang" beat the music competition show by over 4.5 million viewers.
And over on NBC, "Do No Harm" premiered to a low 3.1 million viewers and a 2.1/4 share.
CBS' lineup of new programming earned it a win with 14 million viewers and an 8.7 rating/14 share in households. FOX was neat with 9.6 million and a 5.7/9, followed by ABC at 7.1 million and a 4.9/8 and NBC at 4.1 million, 2.6/4. The CW was fifth at 2.2 million and a 1.3/2.
IN the adults 18-49 demo, CBS also won, but narrowly. The Eye and FOX finished 1-2 with a 3.4 and a 3.3, respectively. ABC was third at 2.2, NBC fourth at 1.6 and the CW fifth at 1.0.
