Steve Carell returns to TV ... on 'Pawn Stars'

Steve Carell will be back on TV soon -- but not in the role of Michael Scott.

Carell, who left "The Office" a season and a half ago, will appear on an episode of "Pawn Stars" in March, EW reports. He and his daughter are fans of the History series, and he'll mingle with the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop guys in an episode airing March 11.

He'll also be promoting his new movie, "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone." An "integrated ad" during the telecast will have "Pawn" star Rick Harrison trying to figure out what a magician's costume is worth. He seeks some "expert" advice, which comes from Carell, whose character in the movie is a magician.

Carell has said he probably won't make a final appearance as Michael on "The Office," saying he "didn't think it was right for the character."
