'NCIS: LA' spinoff casts Edwin Hodge as first series regular
The upcoming spinoff of "NCIS: LA" has made its first casting choice: Edwin Hodge. Deadline reports the young actor will play the witty and tech savvy computer expert Kai Ashe in the potential series that would follow a team of mobile agents solving crimes across the country. The project is expected to be introduced in an episode of "NCIS: LA" airing later this season titled "Red."
Hodge had series regular roles on "Jack & Bobby" and "Mental" and recurring roles on "Invasion," "Boston Public" and the final ABC season of "Cougar Town," as a love interest for Busy Phillips.
He appeared earlier this season on an episode of the original "NCIS" titled "The Namesake." His younger brother, Aldis Hodge, was a regular on TNT's "Leverage" and recurring on "Friday Night Lights."
