Honey Boo Boo's mom on 'DWTS'? TLC says no

Is Mama June heading to Dancing With the Stars? TLC, the network behind "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," says that's one rumor that isn't true.

It all started when New York Magazine reported that ABC is considering adding Emily Maynard, Kourtney Kardashian and Honey Boo Boo's mom to the "DWTS" roster. The outlet also claims that boxer Victor Ortiz has signed on to the dancing competition.

But a TLC rep tells The Huffington Post that at least the June Shannon portion of the story is untrue. That means that, despite her thinner frame, Mama June will be staying on her own reality show.

This wouldn't be the first time a newly trim TLC star headed to "DWTS." "Jon & Kate Plus 8" leading lady Kate Gosselin competed in the 10th season of the show, though she was eventually eliminated.

Shannon recently debuted a 100 pound weight loss, saying she dropped from 365 pounds to 263 pounds without trying. "No diet pills ... never went to the gym. But with the show I've been more active," she said.
