'Harry Potter' star Rupert Grint books CBS 'Super Clyde' pilot

rupert-grint-2013-super-clyde-gi.jpgRupert Grint is going from "Harry Potter" to TV as the star of CBS' single-camera comedy pilot "Super Clyde."

The half-hour series comes from "Raising Hope" and "My Name is Earl" mastermind Greg Garcia and centers on a young fast food employee (Grint) who becomes a self-made superhero, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

It's the first U.S. series commitment for Grint, who played Potter pal Ron Weasley in eight films, and the first for any of the young stars of the "Potter" franchise, though Maggie Smith (who played Professor Minerva McGonagall) is currently racking up awards for her work on hot U.K. import "Downton Abbey."
