'Cult' moved to Friday night at 9 pm after failing to gain a following

cult-premiere-review-youre-next-jeff-skye-matt-davis-jessica-lucas-cw.jpgThe CW has moved its newest midseason drama, "Cult," to Friday nights at 9 p.m. EST after it failed to succeed in the ratings on Tuesday nights at 9.

Of course, while a move to Friday nights may be a death knell on other networks, The CW has seen success there with "Nikita," and with "Supernatural," which did so well in its Friday timeslot that it was ultimately relocated to Wednesdays, where it continues to succeed.

"Cult," however, may be another story. It debuted to less than a million viewers and a 0.3 in the 18-49 demo -- never a good sign -- and its second episode showed no improvement. While a second season is probably not in the cards for "Cult," we're hearing that it is likely that The CW will air all 13 completed episodes this season.

The CW will air repeats of its other series on Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. in "Cult's" stead.
