TV ratings: 'The Following' grows in its second week, 'Bones' improves too

Fast National ratings for Monday, Jan. 28, 2013

Episode 2 of "The Following" improved on its premiere rating in adults 18-49 and retained nearly all of its debut audience, helping FOX score a demographic win Monday night. "Bones" surged as well, growing by 700,000 viewers and half a point in the 18-49 demo over last week.

ABC and The CW also saw gains for "The Bachelor" and "The Carrie Diaries," while NBC's "Deception" halted its downward ratings trend for a week. The gains may be partly attributable to the fact that CBS was in reruns all night.

FOX averaged 9.6 million viewers and a 5.8 rating/9 share in households to lead the night. ABC (7.2 million, 4.8/7) edged CBS (6.8 million, 4.4/7) for second. NBC took fourth with 5.3 million viewers and a 3.4/5. The CW (1.1 million, 0.7/1) trailed.

FOX also won the 18-49 demographic with a 2.9 rating. ABC took second with a 2.1. NBC (1.9) came in third, followed by CBS (1.7) and The CW (0.4).
