Showtime renews 'Shameless,' 'Californication,' 'House of Lies' after year-to-year ratings growth

justin-chatwin-emmy-rossum-shameless-season-3.jpgGood news for fans of Showtime's current Sunday schedule: the cable network has officially renewed "Shameless," "Californication" and "House of Lies."

The Sunday night trio has shown significant ratings increases across the board: "Shameless" is averaging 5.4 million viewers weekly (up 22% from last season), "House of Lies" is averaging 3.2 million (up 10%) and "Californication" is averaging 3.1 million (up 21%). Those numbers include multiple airings and platforms.

The renewals mean that later this year "Shameless" will begin production on Season 4, "House of Lies" on Season 3 and "Californication" on Season 7 (!).

"'Californication,' 'House Of Lies' and 'Shameless' possess highly distinctive comedic voices, and given that all three continue to grow their audience season after season - the pick-up decision was easy," Showtime entertainment president David Nevins said in a statement.
