People's Choice Awards 2013: Sandra Bullock is the Favorite Humanitarian for her work in New Orleans
Sandra Bullock was given the first ever People's Choice Awards for Favorite Humanitarian, with a highlight reel of her work at a high school in New Orleans that was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Can Sandra Bullock just win all the awards? We forgot how much we enjoyed the awards season where she won everything for "The Blind Side" because her speeches were so much fun. When she came up on stage to accept her award, Sandy cracked at her introducer Regina King, "Two things -- Regina, could you be in better shape? And she just dropped the F-bomb, by the way." Heh.
She went on to give all the credit to the amazing volunteers in New Orleans.
"That little clip that you saw does not even begin to scrape the surface of the amazing volunteers and humanitarians I've come to love in New Orleans," says Bullock. "And I'm not at all being modest when I say I don't do anything compared to what they do on a daily basis ... I am simply blessed to be able to do what I do because of what you allow me to do and that is write a check and be a really good cheerleader and that's it."
Could not love Sandra Bullock more.
