Michael J. Fox's new NBC comedy series adds Katie Finneran, Conor Romero and Jack Goor
Michael J. Fox's upcoming NBC series has begun fleshing out Fox's on screen family and cast Katie Finneran as his sister and Conor Romero and Jack Goor as two of his children. The as-yet-untitled series has a 22-episode commitment and will launch in the fall. It's a single camera comedy partly inspired by Fox's real life and stars the five-time Emmy winner as Mike Burnaby, a New York City newscaster who goes back to work and is forced to juggle his family, career and Parkinson's disease.
Two-time Tony winner Finneran ("Noises Off," "Promises, Promises") will play his unemployed, self-absorbed, single sister. Finneran also starred on FOX's "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" and "Wonderfalls."
Romero is set as Burnaby's college-dropout older son and Goor as Burnaby's 7-year-old youngest child.
"Treme" star Wendell Pierce is already part of the cast as Burnaby's boss.
