'Game of Thrones' Season 3 photos reveal Mance Rayder, Beric Dondarrion and our favorite Starks
This season, "Game of Thrones" is travelling to new lands and introducing new characters to the wonderful world of Westeros. Earlier this week we focused on some of the new faces that you should be excited to meet, and now HBO has unveiled official photos to make those introductions even easier.
From Beric Dondarrion to Brynden "Blackfish" Tully, the new crop of "Game of Thrones" characters have been unveiled. In addition to learning who they are and get an early taste of what they look like prior to "Game of Thrones'" March 31 premiere date, the images also help us get a sense of what characters like Daenerys Targaryen and Tyrion Lannister are up to. Check them out below:
Daenerys and her Unsullied
Daenerys is going to need an army if she's going to reclaim Westeros as her own, and it seems like she's found one in the Unsullied. The real question is how is she going to claim them with no money and fewer resources?
Jojen and Meera Reed
We've said it before and we'll say it again: Get excited to meet the Reed siblings. Jojen and Meera are two of the most interesting characters to be introduced in Season 3, and start crossing your fingers now that they'll tell Bran Stark the story of the Tourney at Harrenhal.
He might not have lost as much of his nose as he did in the books, but Tyrion Lannister is still looking a bit worse for wear after the Battle of Blackwater. Is it a spoiler to say that it's all downhill for him from here? It's very nice to be the Hand of the King, even if that king is a boy like Joffrey.
Robb and Talisa Stark
Robb Stark made a risky move marrying Talisa Maegyr and going back on his promise to Lord Walder Frey in Season 2, and now the new couple is going to have to face the consequences. At least Talisa looks to be Robb's perfect match, which will help him in the events that are to come.
As the leader of the Brotherhood Without Banners, Beric Dondarrion is another character you should be really looking forward to meeting. He's basically the Robin Hood of Westeros, but that doesn't mean Arya Stark is going to have an easy time when she crosses paths with him.
Just what is Mance Rayder up to north of the Wall? Jon Snow is about to find out, and discover that the Night's Watch might not be prepared for what is to come.
Brynden "Blackfish" Tully
Love or hate Catelyn Stark, it's hard to deny that Brynden "Blackfish" Tully is the best of the Tully clan. You'll be seeing a lot more of him and the rest of the Tully house in the coming episodes as Catelyn returns to the side of her dying father Hoster Tully.
