Ann Romney turns down 'Dancing With the Stars' - report
Ann Romney won't be competing for the coveted mirror-ball trophy this spring on "Dancing With the Stars."
According to TMZ, the former Republican first lady hopeful turned down an offer by the ABC dance competition to join the cast for its 16th season, premiering in March.
Just weeks after her husband Mitt lost the presidential election to Barack Obama, Romney -- a "huge fan" of "DWTS" -- was in the "All-Stars" finale audience to see Melissa Rycroft capture the trophy.
Although Romney, 63, suffers from multiple sclerosis, she maintains an active lifestyle. She is an accomplished equestrian and has competed for years in the sport of dressage, often called "horse ballet."
"Dressage With the Stars"? Your move, ABC.
Season 16 of "Dancing With the Stars" premieres Monday, March 18 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
