Andy Richter cast on 'Happy Endings' as Penny's very young dad

Penny (Casey Wilson) on "Happy Endings" has a bevy of issues with men -- and we're about to meet one of the reasons for her relationship problems. Conan O'Brien's longtime sidekick Andy Richter has been cast on the show as Penny's father, Roy.

There's only a 14-year age difference between Richter and Wilson, and TVLine reports that this will be addressed when Richter guest stars on an episode this spring. Turns out that Roy and Dana (Megan Mulally) were very, very young when they had Penny.

We can expect Roy to reenter Penny's life just as things are getting more serious with her and her new boyfriend (Nick Zano) -- who is the first long-term BF she's ever had.
