TV ratings: Football dominates Sunday night, 'Amazing Race' finale does OK

A snowbound "Sunday Night Football" game between Green Bay and Detroit gave NBC an easy ratings win. FOX also got a bump from late-afternoon NFL games running into primetime, resulting in better-than-average numbers for "The Simpsons" and "Bob's Burgers."

Elsewhere, the season finale of "The Amazing Race" was in line with its season average, and ABC's Hallmark Hall of Fame movie "Christmas With Holly" posted decent viewer numbers -- the biggest the network has had since taking on the franchise last year.

NBC delivered 15.9 million viewers and a 9.6 rating/15 share in households for the night. CBS (9.6 million, 6.0/9) came in second, a little ahead of FOX (8.55 million, 5.2/8). ABC trailed with 6.7 million viewers and a 4.1/6.

NBC also led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 5.7 rating, finishing well ahead of FOX's 3.5. CBS averaged 2.2 in the demo and ABC 1.6.
