Rebel Wilson named as 2013 MTV Movie Awards host

If this is what the apocalypse means, consider us on board: MTV has announced that Rebel Wilson is going to be the host of the 2013 MTV Movie Awards. The awards show is being held on April 14, 2013.

The reveal was made during the series finale of "Jersey Shore" in the above video. In it, Wilson is tortured by her "Bridesmaids" costar and real life best friend Matt Lucas. Based on Wilson's repertoire, this year's Movie Awards is going to be absolutely hilarious.

Wilson is best known for her work in "Bridesmaids," "Pitch Perfect" and "What to Expect When You're Expecting." She's next going to be seen in Michael Bay's "Pain & Gain," which appropriately comes out two weeks after the Movie Awards. Wilson is following in the footsteps of previous comedian hosts like Aziz Ansari, Jason Sudeikis and Andy Samberg.
