'Go On': Piper Perabo will have a not very covert affair with Matthew Perry

Piper Perabo will spend some downtime away from USA's "Covert Affairs" by stretching her comedy muscles.

Perabo will guest-star in three episodes of NBC's "Go On" as a former member of Ryan's (Matthew Perry) support group, Deadline reports. When she comes back to the group for some more therapy, she and Ryan hit it off.

The show has started to explore the idea of Ryan dating again following the death of his wife, which is what sent him to therapy in the first place. The Nov. 27 episode showed him making his first tragicomic attempts at chatting up women; Perabo's character, Simone, could be the first successful date for Ryan.

"Covert Affairs" finished its third season on USA (which is also part of the NBCUniversal family) in November. Season 4 is slated to debut next summer.
