'The X Factor': Diamond White returns as Top 13 finalist

"The X Factor"" brought back eliminated contestant Diamond White tonight (Nov. 7), after Simon Cowell revealed the judges made a "mistake" in sending her home last week.

"We watched the show back, but we believe we made a mistake with one act," Cowell told the stunned live audience.

The blame for the blunder falls squarely on the shoulders of judge Britney Spears, who pitted the 13-year-old singing sensation against 16-year-old Arin Ray.

"I don't think it's right that either of these should go," Cowell said after Brit-Brit spared the elder teen.

So instead of the previously announced Top 12, the "X Factor" finalist field has expanded to a Top 13.

It may be an unlucky number, but White certainly doesn't feel that way.

"I feel awesome," the beaming contestant told co-hosts Khloé Kardashian Odom and Mario Lopez. "And I'm ready to get performing,"

"The X Factor" airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. on FOX.
