'The Following' trailer: Viewer Discretion is advised for Kevin Bacon's TV thriller

Take it from us: FOX's midseason thriller "The Following" is the scariest thing we've ever seen on network TV. Period. From the (extraordinarily twisted) mind of "Scream" scribe Kevin Williamson, the show stars Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy as a former FBI agent and the serial killer who has plagued him for a decade.

"The Following" is so spectacularly creepy, FOX had to make two trailers. One is suitable for all audiences, and one is "rated intense" -- you know, just for people who don't like to sleep at night anyway. We've included the slightly tamer version here for your viewing pleasure; the intense one can be viewed at this link. 

In other "The Following" news, the show has recently added two key cast members. "Common Law" star Warren Cole is set to play Roderick, one of the serial killer's devoted followers, as first reported by TVLine. Additionally, Mike Colter of "Ringer" has signed on as high-ranking FBI agent Nick.
