'Saturday Night Live' addresses Hurricane Sandy with Bloomberg address skit: Watch
We knew "Saturday Night Live" would have to address Hurricane Sandy this weekend, and with so many people on the eastern seaboard still suffering without heat, clean drinking water, or homes, it can't have been easy to take a comedic look at the week's events. "SNL" did it though, and they didn't waste any time. The show's first opening skit was a press conference from Mayor Bloomberg, of course featuring the animated sign language translator who has become a late-night fodder favorite over the course of the weeks.
Bobby Moynihan even stepped in as New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, but the best part was definitely Fred Armison's Bloomberg warning to the Spanish speakers of the city.
