MTV is standing by the setting of "Jersey Shore" in the time after Hurricane Sandy. The television network has announced it is hosting a one-hour fundraising special to raise money for Seaside Heights, N.J.

The special will be called "Restore the Shore" and will take place on Nov. 15 at 11 p.m. ET and air on MTV. The cable network has announced it is working with the nonprofit organization Architecture for Humanity to raise funds to help rebuild the Seaside Heights boardwalk as well as to assist individuals and business who were affected by the storm, The New York Times reports.

The cast members of "Jersey Shore" are going to be a part of "Restore the Shore," with other guest appearances being announced at a later date. Following the destruction of much of Seaside Heights, Vinny Guadagnino told MTV News that his "second home" has his support.

"Over the last few years, it feels like Seaside Heights has become my second home. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who was affected by this disaster in Seaside and all across the Northeast. I'm here to support in any way I can," he said.
