Katie Holmes on a 'Dawson's Creek' reunion: 'What do you do?'

Katie Holmes threw a little bit of cold, cruel water on the idea of a "Dawson's Creek" reunion during her appearance on Thursday's (Nov. 15) "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon."

It's not that she wouldn't be open to the idea. "I love everyone from the show, and we have kind of talked about it here and there," she tells Fallon in the clip below (the "Dawson's" talk starts about two minutes in).

Holmes does note, however, that the way the series ended presents a few hurdles for a reunion. "Then we're like, 'What do you do?'" she says. "Because our last episode, Michelle's [Williams] character passed away ..."

"She comes back as a ghost," Fallon offers. "Problem solved."

Holmes does have one reunion idea: "Maybe we'll go on vacation -- that would be fun -- and we'll just film it," she says -- and she also says if the right idea were presented to her, she'd be game to be Joey Potter again.

"If there was a good story, you'd do it?" Fallon asks her.
