Khloe Kardashian, Mario Lopez to host 'X Factor': Will they give the show a boost?

Our long national nightmare is over. Fox singing competition "The X Factor" finally has its new hosts. And as expected, Khloe Kardashian is one of them.

She'll be joined by another early frontrunner, Mario Lopez of "Saved By the Bell" fame, according to TMZ. The website reports that the deals with Kardashian and Lopez are in the final stages and an official announcement should come this week. The hosts are expected to debut in November, when "X Factor" begins its live shows.

This week, "X Factor" kicks off the bootcamp episodes to whittle down potential contenders selected by judges Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid during the audition process. So far, ratings for the show's second season have been consistent but somewhat underwhelming.
