Go inside the Bermuda Triangle in 'Curiosity: The Devil's Triangle'

curiosity-devils-triangle-bermuda-triangle-thumb.jpgEver wonder what's really going on the Bermuda Triangle? The folks at Discovery certainly have, and they're documenting the strange phenomenon in "Curiosity: The Devil's Triangle," premiering Sunday, Oct. 14 at 9 p.m. on Discovery Channel.

In the special, scientists try to use their theories about what happens in the so-called Devil's Triangle to discover why planes and boats disappear there. In Zap2it's exclusive sneak peek, scientists try to sink a boat the way they think it would in the Bermuda Triangle.

The working theory is that methane released from the ocean's floor mixes with the water, making it less dense than water alone and no longer to support a boat, causing the boat to sink.

Check out what happens in that particular experiment below, and tune in on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 9 p.m. on Discovery Channel to see the rest.
