'Girls' Season 2 premiere date set for January 13, 2013

girls-season-2-premiere-date-hbo.jpgMissing Hannah and the "Girls" crew? Well, you might want to mark your calendar for Jan. 13, 2013, because that's when Lena Dunham's HBO hit returns to the schedule for its second season, along with Season 2 of "Enlightened."

HBO had already announced that the two comedies will return in January 2013, but confirmed that "Girls" Season 2 will premiere at 9 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13, followed by the "Enlightened" Season 2 premiere at 9:30 p.m..

Dunham's "Girls" follows a group of twentysomething girls as they adjust to adulthood while working in Brooklyn. It'll be back for ten new episodes. "Girls" was nominated for five Emmys in 2012, including Outstanding Comedy Series as well as awards for acting, directing, writing and casting.

"Enlightened" stars Laura Dern as a high-powered executive picking up her life after a public breakdown. Dern was nominated for a 2012 Golden Globe for her performance in the series, which also stars director and writer Mike White.
