'Community' gets a premiere date (for real) and returns to Thursday nights
"Community" finally has a premiere date for Season 4: Feb. 7 is the new Oct. 19.NBC says the cult-favorite comedy, which had initially been scheduled for an Oct. 19 premiere but then was pushed back, will debut on Feb. 7, 2013. It will return to its home at 8 p.m. ET Thursdays, taking over the spot that will be vacated when "30 Rock" ends.
Cast member Yvette Nicole Brown broke the news via Twitter on Tuesday (Oct. 30), and a network rep confirmed the date to Zap2it.
The show's midseason berth could create the somewhat odd sight of Jeff Winger (Joel McHale) and Co. celebrating Halloween closer to Valentine's Day and Christmas sometime in March, but "Community" fans shouldn't be too upset about that.
