Netflix adds 'Revenge,' 'Scandal,' 'Once Upon a Time' to Instant streaming

meghan-ory-once-upon-a-time-abc.jpgABC's addicting dramas "Once Upon a Time," "Revenge" and "Scandal" all did pretty well in their first seasons last year. But the network is hoping they'll grow into even bigger hits in season two, and it's teamed with Netflix to help viewers catch up and get hooked.

The first seasons of all three shows are now streaming on Netflix Instant and will become exclusive to the popular video rental and streaming site at the end of the month. They join other past and present ABC series in the Netflix streaming library including "Grey's Anatomy," "Private Practice," "Desperate Housewives" and "Lost."

"Once Upon a Time," a contemporary fairy tale fantasy saga starring Jennifer Morrison and Lana Parilla, returns to ABC Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. ET.

"Revenge," the Hamptons-set soap starring Madeleine Stowe and Emily VanCamp, follows that same night at 9 p.m. ET.

"Scandal," the Washington D.C. drama starring Kerry Washington and produced by "Grey's" Shona Rhimes, is back three nights earlier on Sept. 27 at 10 p.m. ET following the ninth season premiere of "Grey's."

That gives newbies over two weeks to get caught up via Netflix. It will be interesting to see if the series receive any second-season boost, as growing ratings for AMC's critically acclaimed dramas "Mad Men" and "Breaking Bad" have been partly credited to their presence on the Netflix Instant service.

Are you planning to catch up on any of the shows with Netflix?
