'Modern Family' Season 4 teaser: Gloria's pregnancy is no longer a secret

"Modern Family" begins its fourth season by revealing to its characters what the audience has known since the spring: Gloria (Sofia Vergara) is pregnant.

The family registers varying degrees of shock at the news, as you can see in the 30-second teaser for the new season at the end of this post. Two of those reactions stand out:

- Claire's (Julie Bowen) giggly, gleeful "She's gonna get really fat!" Although, don't you think Gloria will be one of those women you can't tell is pregnant unless she's in full profile? If only to make Claire's jealousy burn that much hotter?

- Luke (stealth show MVP Nolan Gould): "I didn't know Grandpa could still do it." Phil (Ty Burrell): "Don't be disrespectful, Luke. Anyone could do it with Gloria."

The big unanswered question, of course, is how Jay (Ed O'Neill) will take the news -- something will presumably come after the blank stare we see in the clip. You can find out when "Modern Family" premieres at 9 p.m. ET Wednesday, Sept. 26 on ABC. Take a look at the teaser:
