'How I Met Your Mother' Season 8 teaser: See Barney run

So, we know from the end of last season on "How I Met Your Mother" that Barney's (Neil Patrick Harris) much-teased future wedding is to Robin (Cobie Smulders), and that we'll revisit the ceremony in the Season 8 premiere.

In the show's present, however, Barney is engaged to Quinn (Becki Newton) -- and this teaser for the new season makes it look an awful lot like the wedding Barney's trying to run out on (as first seen in photos from Season 8) is to Quinn. In other words, it feels like we're being bait-and-switched a little.

Nonetheless, there is fun to be had in the 30-second spot. The physical comedy of Lily and Marshall (Alyson Hannigan and Jason Segel) restraining Barney from making a break for it looks pretty good, and Marshall's line about being honored to be one of Quinn's bridesmaids is spot-on. You also have to wonder if Lily's slip of the tongue about Barney having dated Robin -- which Quinn apparently didn't know -- is what sows the seeds for their ultimate breakup.
