TV ratings: 'Grimm' gets a small Olympic bump Monday while 'Hotel Hell' has an OK start
The Season 2 premiere of "Grimm" got a bit of a boost from its heavy promotion during NBC's Olympics coverage, scoring its second-highest adults 18-49 rating ever on Monday.
NBC's other premiere, "Stars Earn Stripes," had a somewhat more modest start. FOX's "Hotel Hell" put up decent premiere numbers, but not on the level of Gordon Ramsay's other shows.
Thanks to a solid performance from "Hell's Kitchen," FOX led Monday's ratings pack with 5.8 million viewers and a 3.3 rating/5 share in households. NBC (5.3 million, 3.1/5) was not far off the pace in second. CBS (4.9 million, 3.2/5) came in third, and ABC (3.4 million, 2.4/4) finished fourth. The CW drew 606,000 viewers and a 0.4/1.
FOX also led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 2.3 rating. NBC took second with a 1.8, half a point better than CBS' 1.3. ABC averaged 1.1 in the demo and The CW 0.2.
