NBC airs water polo wardrobe malfunction
NBC's 2012 Summer Olympics coverage: Now with more nipples! The Peacock has taken some flack for its Olympics coverage, not airing very many of the marquee sports live and instead holding them for primetime broadcast. So it's rather ironic that when it does air something live, the network now might be in for some FCC fines.
During the U.S./Spain women's water polo match Wednesday (Aug. 1), a U.S. competitor grabbed the swimsuit of a Spanish opponent and pulled it down far enough to reveal the woman's nipple. And NBC just happened to be broadcasting the underwater camera that caught the whole thing. Oops.

With all the grappling that comes with water polo, wardrobe malfunctions probably happen all the time and most of the reactions we saw were ones that thought it was humorous (or titillating).
"Finally, @NBC gets something right! "@knifework: Yep. NBC just flashed a nipple showing underwater suit-grabbing in women's water polo." -- tweets Todd Wilson
"That underwater camera is showing a lot of nipple and crack. I didn't realize water polo was so erotic," tweets Brandon Tillotson

But NBC still can't win.
"There was just a nipple slip on womens water polo. Do better NBC," tweets King of R&B
This was also a problem during the 2008 Beijing Games, though this one (NSFW) did not air live on television. But it did make it into a live photo stream of Getty pictures.
