TV ratings: Olympics pull more huge numbers Sunday

NBC's coverage of the Summer Olympics continued its huge ratings roll Sunday night, as swimming and gymnastics events delivered massive audiences for the network.

ABC and FOX went will full lineups of repeats for the night, but CBS tried its hand with original programming and got smacked. "Big Brother" and "60 Minutes" were both below average, and "3" fell from its already weak premiere.

NBC averaged 35.45 million viewers and a 19.5 rating/32 share in households for the night, up from 27.4 million for the primetime portion of Saturday's Olympics coverage. CBS (4 million, 2.6/4) was the best of the rest, followed by FOX (2.5 million, 1.5/3) and ABC (2.4 million, 1.6/3).

NBC scored an 11.4 rating among adults 18-49 for the night, a significant bump from Saturday's 8.2. FOX, 1.2, finished second in the demographic. CBS drew a 0.9 and ABC a 0.6.
