TV ratings: 'Bachelor Pad' premiere tumbles as FOX wins Monday

The season premiere of "Bachelor Pad" was down significantly in the ratings compared to last season's opener on ABC, dropping by more than 2 million viewers and seven tenths of a point in adults 18-49.

The subpar performance paved the way for an easy win on the night for FOX, which got more solid numbers from "Hell's Kitchen" and "Masterchef." An extra hour of "American Ninja Warrior" on NBC also pulled in decent ratings.

FOX averaged 6.4 million viewers and a 3.6 rating/6 share in households to lead the night. CBS (5.1 million, 3.4/6) finished second, a little bit ahead of NBC (4.6 million, 2.6/4). ABC came in fourth with 3.9 million viewers and a 2.7/5, and The CW drew a little under 600,000 viewers and a 0.4/1.

FOX also won the adults 18-49 demographic with a 2.6 rating, almost a point better than NBC's 1.7. CBS, 1.3, edged ABC, 1.2, for third. The CW posted a 0.3.
