TV ratings: 'America's Got Talent' drops but still tops Tuesday
The ratings for "America's Got Talent" Tuesday dipped some from last week's numbers, but the NBC show was still the night's most-watched program. FOX grabbed the nightly title in adults 18-49, however, thanks to steady performances by "Hell's Kitchen" and "Masterchef."
NBC led Tuesday's pack with 8.2 million viewers and a 4.9 rating/8 share in households. CBS (6.2 million, 4.2/7) edged FOX (6.1 million, 3.5/6) for second in viewers. ABC came in fourth with just over 4 million viewers and a 2.4/4, and The CW (811,000, 0.5/1) trailed.
FOX's 2.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic was good enough to win. NBC took second with a 2.2. ABC, 1.2, snagged third, followed by CBS, 1.0, and The CW, 0.4.
