'Modern Family' child actors want raises too
The six adult "Modern Family" stars might've solved their contentious contract dispute on Friday (July 27), but that doesn't mean the salary negotiations are over. Now, the ABC comedy's child actors are looking for raises too.According to The Hollywood Reporter, the four young stars, including Rico Rodriguez, 13, Nolan Gould, 13, Ariel Winter, 14, and Sarah Hyland, 21, will renegotiate their contracts in the next week. The three teenagers will likely band together during the talks, much like their grown-up costars but without any table read boycotts or lawsuits against studio 20th Century Fox. The studio reportedly considers them equals, so they'll likely negotiate the same type of raise.
Hyland's contract might be different, considering she has more credits to her name and already makes more money.
The actors will probably not come out with the payday of their adult costars, THR reports, but they'll add an additional year to their seven-year contracts.
