'Falling Skies': Brandon Jay McLaren talks about his new role on USA's 'Graceland'
As it became apparent in Episode 7 of "Falling Skies," Brandon Jay McLaren's character will no longer be serving as the go-to tech guru for the 2nd Massachusetts Militia Regiment.
Zap2it recently chatted with McLaren about life after the SyFy show.
McLaren, who also starred on Season 1 of "The Killing," will be a regular on USA's new series "Graceland," which likely debuts next year.
McLaren tells us that "Graceland" revolves around five undercover federal agents living together in a Venice Beach mansion. He teases about a stranger attempting to join their tight-knit group.
"A new kid straight out of high school gets shipped to our house to live with us, but we don't really know why he's there. It turns out that he may be there to do an internal investigation," he says.
McLaren's character, Agent Dale Jakes, is of a "get out of my face" kind of guy.
"I play this hot-tempered, undercover customs agents who's not that friendly to the new guy initially, but as you get into the story, you realize he has a big heart," he says. "The new character is not even tempered at all. If anything, he's kind of like, 'Leave me alone.' Kind of a little grumpy."
Shooting begins in the fall. Though the show won't be gracing television screens until next year, be sure to tune in to TNT's "Falling Skies" in the meantime.
"Falling Skies" airs at 9 p.m. ET Sundays on TNT.
