Erin Andrews officially joins FOX Sports after ESPN exit

As expected, former ESPN reporter Erin Andrews has officially joined FOX Sports. "Opportunities to add someone of Erin Andrews' caliber don't come along often and we're thrilled to welcome her back," said FOX Sports in a statement. "In addition to having her anchor our new college football show and studio coverage, we expect her to be a big contributor to our MLB and NFL coverage as well as other major events."

Andrews worked at FOX Sports Florida early in her career.

The "Dancing With the Stars" alum released her own statement as well. "To have the chance to not only host the primetime college football pregame show, but cover the NFL, MLB and various other incredible Fox Sports properties is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I couldn't be more excited to get to work," she says.

She'll feature prominently on FOX Sports' new 30-minute pregame college football show, starting Sept 1.
