'90210' Season 5: Trevor Donovan returning for multi-episode arc

In the "90210" Season 4 finale, fans expected Silver to ask one of her love interests, Navid or Liam, to father her child. In a surprise twist, however, the honor went to her gay BFF Teddy in a return appearance from former series regular Trevor Donovan. Having decided to undergo preventative cancer treatments that will leave her sterile, Silver's on a deadline to get pregnant.

Zap2it can exclusively confirm that Donovan will, indeed, return to "90210 in Season 5 for a multi-episode arc.

He's already signed the dotted line to appear in the first two episodes of the season, and sources tell Zap2it that he could be in a whole lot more, contingent on his availability for filming.

Donovan is currently one of a handful of actors in consideration for the highly coveted role of Finnick Odair in "The Hunger Games" sequel, "Catching Fire," so his schedule beyond those first two episodes is up in the air at the moment.

So will Teddy say yes and knock Silver up?

We're told that it's not a decision that the old friends come to lightly, and that we'll see them struggle with some of the details before they make their choice about whether to move forward.
