'X Factor': Gene Simmons' daughter Sophie Tweed-Simmons auditions

KISS rocker Gene Simmons spent his Father's Day at an "X Factor" audition - because his 19-year-old daughter Sophie was singing for Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, et.al., at the San Francisco auditions for the reality singing competition show that will air this fall, reports TMZ.

Sources say Sophie told the judges she wants a "fair shot" and that it "isn't about [her] dad. This is about [her] audition."

Simmons reportedly hopped on a private plane after receiving a surprise call from Sophie the night before saying she wasn't coming home for Father's Day because she was trying out for "X Factor." Simmons got there just in time to see Sophie's audition - no word yet as to how she did.
