'Game Of Thrones' puts George W. Bush's decapitated head on a spike

george-w-bush-head-game-of-thrones.jpgKing Joffrey was not pleased with former President George W. Bush.

In the DVD commentary for Season 1 of "Game of Thrones," creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss reveal that one of the severed heads proudly displayed on spikes by the violent boy king actually belongs to Bush.

In Episode 10, Joffrey takes Sansa to look at her father's decapitated head, and io9 caught a screen grab of the familiar-looking head. Though he's got a new hairdo (that doesn't look particularly presidential), the shape of his face is certainly that of our former Commander in Chief. iO9 snagged the screen grab at left.

It's not the only time we see his severed head. "The last head on the left is George Bush. George Bush's head appears in a couple of beheading scenes," the creators say in the commentary. "It's not a choice, it's not a political statement. We just had to use whatever head we had around."

Which, of course, raises a whole other host of questions.
