'Game of Thrones' goes big at San Diego Comic-Con 2012
San Diego Comic Con hosts panels with audiences of varying size -- from just a handful of people in a small room to large-scale events in the convention center's famed Hall H. Most television shows get smaller rooms or, often, the mid-sized Ballroom 20, but this summer, TV will have a much stronger presence as the convention opens up Hall H to more shows than usual. In addition to Warner Bros.' "Supernatural," "Fringe," and "The Big Bang Theory," which will all have panels in Hall H, HBO has just announced that "Game of Thrones" will also host a panel in the giant room that's typically reserved for huge, con-friendly movies like "Twilight."
No word yet on which cast members and executive producers will be on hand, but we can expect scribe George R. R. Martin to make an appearance.
HBO will also bring "True Blood" to Comic-Con, though the vampires will have to make do with Ballroom 20 for their Saturday, July 14 appearance.
