Tony Awards 2012: Neil Patrick Harris promises big things
The 66th Tony Awards are less than two weeks away, and CBS wants you to know they're going to be big.
In a compilation of promos for the Broadway award show, host Neil Patrick Harris is seen in Times Square standing alongside a giant Tony Award. In one situation, he even receives a ticket from a police officer for an offense that's probably best described as "Trophying without a permit."
The June 10 event could be a big night for "Once." The musical set in an Irish pub secured 11 nominations including "Best Musical." Other plays that did well in terms of nominations include Stephen Sondheim's "Follies" and the musical "Newsies."
The Tony Awards will air live from Manhattan's Beacon Theater at 8 p.m. ET.
