'The X Factor' may hire Demi Lovato with Britney Spears

"The X Factor" judging panel may be very Disney-heavy this season.

Of course, Britney Spears is nearing a $15 million deal (with plenty of extra perks tossed in) to be a judge -- and now it looks like Demi Lovato is also in the running for a place on the panel. Both, of course, began their careers as teens on Disney Channel shows.

Of course, Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid are fixtures on the show, and Spears is looking like a relatively sure thing. Until today, rumors swirled that Miley Cyrus was in talks to take the fourth spot, though no offer had been made.

Somewhat hilariously, The Hollywood Reporter -- who originally reported Lovato's talks -- says that Cowell was looking for a brunette to fill the final place on the panel. We're glad his criteria is so specific.
