'The Voice' inspires 'Parks and Recreation's' Ron Swanson
Count this as a sweeps crossover we were not expecting: "The Voice" and "Parks and Recreation."
The NBC singing competition is apparently appointment viewing in Pawnee, as you can see in the clip up above (which is debuting exclusively here on Zap2it) that promotes both "The Voice" finale on Tuesday (May 8) and "Parks and Rec's" season ender on Thursday. As Leslie (Amy Poehler) notes, the show has inspired her boss, Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman).
The clip ends there, but we're guessing that Ron fashions his own version of the "Voice" judges' swivel chairs, except he'll use his to turn away from people trying to get his attention.
You can also look out for "The Voice" judge Cee Lo Green paying a visit to Pawnee City Hall on one of the two shows (NBC wants you to watch both, so it's not saying whether the scene airs Tuesday or Thursday). "The Voice" finale is set for 9 p.m. ET Tuesday, while "Parks and Rec" ends its season at 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
